Mission Opportunity '08

MISSIONS CAMP

JUNE 1 thru 7, 2008

Camp Tippy is a place where "Mission" takes place. For the past 79 years young people have been attending “Summer Camp” and experiencing a life changing experience. Those experiences came about because of folks' faithfulness, sweat equity and willingness to do God’s work.  A lot of that Mission work happens before any campers come to have the awesome experiences they only get in a place like Camp Tippy. Your willingness to help make a better place for the campers will assist the Session Directors and the Cabin Leaders in sharing the Gospel with the campers.

Camp Tippy is venturing out to new horizons this year. You can be a part of that venture at MISSION CAMP.  The purpose of the  week will be to learn as much as we possibly can about being a missionary.   By participating in mission work you will also actually be a missionary by working on the "Ministry of Camps Mission Field" on several projects designed to enhance our facility for the campers.

This camp is for you as a church, as a group, or you as an individual.  If you have wanted the opportunity to experience "first hand" mission work, to have the traditional camp experience, to have some time to just enjoy the beautiful surroundings at the camp, and yes to learn about our ABC Missions, then “Mission Camp”  is the right place for you!

We will have the normal activities of other camps, Bible Study, Recreation, Great food, times of fellowship, Singing around the "ole" campfire and sharing as well!                                                                                                                                                                                Come for a day, several days, a week. We ask that participants of the camp be at least 10 years of age and as old as 99 yrs of age and able to participate in the work projects (light to medium physical labor).

Project Supervisors will be available to teach those of us that are in need of much help in "how to do..."

In the event that a group of teenagers plan on coming from your local church, we ask that an adult leader (at least 18 yrs. old) also attend.  Ratio of minor youth is 8 to 1 adult.  Families, Grandma & Grandpa combinations, single men and women...this is an INCLUSIVE, not EXCLUSIVE Camp!!    See Below for a list of some of our projects.
