Be sure to bring any additional personal medical information and any current medication to check-in. All medication will be given to Health Care person for distribution while you are at camp. Bring medication in the original containers with campers name clearly marked. CHECK-OUT: Most camps end on Saturday morning at 11.00 a.m., except Explorer which ends at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. First Timers will end at 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Our intention is for each camper to have the best camp experience we can possibly provide, so we have put together some important information for you on what your camper needs to bring to camp with them and what not to bring. BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: Bible Soap Clothes for each day Sleeping bag or Pencil Shampoo Jacket, sweat shirt Blankets Flashlight Toothbrush Raincoat Pillow Fishing Pole Towels, washcloths Swimsuit (one piece) Sheets Notebook Comb, brush Shoes and socks for walking trails Spending money Jeans, sweat pants (campfires can be cool) A Friend Bug Spray (containing DEET) Please bring a container to carry items to and from shower houses. Personal care items such as shampoo, deodorant, mouthwash, etc. should be purchased in plastic (not glass) containers for the safety of the campers. All articles including clothing, pillows, bible, and sleeping bag should be marked with the camper’s name. MEDICATION: If your camper brings medication, it must be given to Health Care person (camp Nurse). The medication must be in original container. This is for over-the-counter and prescription medications (all medication). PLEASE DO NOT BRING: Radios. CD players. tape players, game boys, cell phones, pagers, fireworks, skate boards or pets. These items are disruptive to the camp experience. If these items are brought they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the camp session. Items not allowed at camp, weapons (guns, knifes, etc.), drugs, alcohol, tobacco and related products. If these items are brought they will be confiscated and camper will be sent home. Personal items brought by campers to camp, such as fishing poles, athletic equipment, etc. will be stored in the Program Directors cabin and campers can get them for intended activities. DRESS CODE: Campers and counselors will wear appropriate clothing suitable for church camp. Midriff tops, spaghetti strap tops, tub tops, and/or halter tops are not permitted. The rule-of-thumb for shoulder straps with will be THREE FINGERS WIDE. Short shorts are not permitted for boys or girls. Exposed midriffs are not acceptable. Jeans and modest shorts may be worn at any time. Shirts must be worn at all times except when swimming. Bikinis, 2 (two) or other brief swimwear is not permitted. For safety purposes shoes must be worn at all times, including to and from shower houses and to and from lake. When walking trails and on island, shoes and socks must be worn. Guys no shirts with the arm holes clear down to the bottom of the shirt tail (large openings)/ CAMP MAIL: All campers may send and receive mail while at camp. When sending mail or e-mails, please be sure to place camper full name on outside of envelope or on the headers of e-mails. Only one e-mail will be accepted per person each day, e-mails will not count for singing in the dining hall. The mailing address and e-mail address are listed at the top of this letter. DIRECTIONS TO TIPPECANOE: Take Hwy. 13 into North Webster. On the north side of town , there is a Crystal Flash gas station—TURN WEST (this is CR 650 north). Go 1 1/2 miles—there will be a sign on the left side of the road. Turn LEFT down the lane. Take the first right (at the camp sign)—this drive will take you to the camp parking lot.
